September already, kids are back to school!
Wow! Its September already. It seems like only a couple of posts ago I wrote an article on children’s summer activites. “Time flies when you’re having fun!”. Thats partly right, but it goes by even quicker with the kids are around! You may have noticed that we’ve kind of neglected our blog in the past month, thats because we’ve been busy upto our eye brows with our new wall sticker range, plus entertaining the kids have taken a lot out of us… so as you can see we’ve had our hands a little full. Our blog will be open back up for business as usual from today.
Today was the beginning of the school term for the majority of schools, but isn’t it a bit strange to start on a Friday? I think so, but in a way that could be a good thing. Its like dipping your toes in the water before jumping into the pool. I guess it prepares the children and gives them a taste of whats to come in term time. So how was the summer? Was it good, eventful or did it not go as planned? I hope it was the former and you found lots of things to keep them busy throughout the summer.
We’ve had a nice spell of sunshine for the past week, and it looks set to stay nice until Monday at least. A mini break to the seaside would be nice. We were at Brighton just this week and it was wonderful. The weather was close to perfect, warm with light winds and very sunny. I do prefer the sandy beaches rather than the pebbles at Brighton, they hurt my feet! But there is so much to do there. We came across this wonderful little gallery just by the seafront called Julie Anne Gilburt, they’ve so many original paintings there in many different styles. Theres also heaps of fun for the children too. They loved the fun fair rides, mini golf, the Aquarium and not to mention the Marina. I would definitely recommend a day out at Brightont. If you are driving get there early as good parking spaces tend to get filled pretty quickly!
